We had a great time together as a family this Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa came out to visit for a couple of weeks and it wasn't even that cold. We went up to Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of nights, had time to bake lots of yummy treats and had fun relaxing on Christmas day. The kids weren't up too early on Christmas, which I am thankful for, it was like 7:30, I can deal with that. Nina and Alek went on a trip with Grandma and Grandpa to Iowa to visit Great Grandma, Aunt Janice, and Grandpa Mike. They had a good time and stayed in a hotel on the way there with an indoor mini golf course. It was a good break from our normal schedules and time to just relax.
The kids sang at church on the 19th in their Christmas outfits from Aunt Cher.
We decided to take pictures when we got to Great Wolf Lodge this year before we did anything. It only took 4 years to learn the kids are much more cooperative before they've spent 2 days swimming and not sleeping well. Much better than years past :)
Alek was so proud of himself for doing the lilly pads. He still didn't want much to to with the water slides, but had fun in the pool and kiddie area.
Nina spent most of her time in the pool this year.
Making apple pie for Christmas dinner with Grandma.
Christmas Eve after church
Christmas morning. It was all about the legos for Alek this year. He should be able to build quite a few things with all the ones he has now. The remote control cars were pretty cool too.
Nina got too many clothes, according to her. Her favorite gift this year was probably her DS. She used it a lot on her trip to Iowa. She also liked her craft kits that she received.
Helping Grandpa Mike fill up the bird feeders in Iowa.
